Cooking dinner every night can be a long production, especially if you have to cook for a family.
But the Shadow Robot Company is out to save you all that hassle.
The British engineering company has built a robot that can cook anything from the simplest sandwich to a gourmet meal. By 2017, they say it will be able to cook 2,000 different meals.
A pair of robot arms does the stirring, pouring, chopping, and everything a human would do to cook. The Daily Mail says the arms “imitate human movements closely enough that they can do things such as wipe a spoon on the edge of a pan to prevent drips.”
You can choose your meals using an app, or teach the robot your own recipes. You can even use the app to order dinner on your way home, and it will be ready for you when you get there.
The robot comes complete with its own stove, oven, and sink, so it will even clean up after itself. No more never-ending pile of dishes in the sink!
When it’s ready for sale in 2017, this robo-chef will only cost you $14,000 (and you still have to buy all the ingredients), but just think about how much the time and effort of cooking and cleaning is worth… Plus, can you cook a meal as good as a Michelin-starred restaurant on your own?
